  • Montage: This puts several clips together to quickly show events taking place over a period of time.
  • Flashbacks: A shot of something that happened at an earlier time to add context to the narrative.
  • Transitions: Different ways of moving from one scene to the next e.g. overlapping footage or zooming in then out again.
  • Pace: Sequencing shorter or longer shots to speed up or slow down the scene to create excitement or drama.
